Join the Napa County Bicycle Coalition for a FREE family-friendly bike ride on Saturday, August 1! This sunset ride highlights the importance of visibility when biking, especially at night, and encourages all riders to be bright with bike lights and bright bike decor. The ride will teach safe biking practices for riding on trails and local streets.
- Where: Ride starts/finishes at Wetlands Edge Park.
- When: Meet at 7:15 PM, ride leaves at 7:30 PM. We should be wrapping up by 8:30 PM, just in time to watch a beautiful sunset over the American Canyon wetlands.
- Distance: ~4 or 5 miles long, depending on group pace.
- Pace: We will be going at a casual, cruising pace. All riders must be able to keep up with 8-10 mph.
- Terrain: Flat; partly compact dirt in park but mostly asphalt the rest of the ride
- All riders must: wear a helmet, be on bikes without training wheels, and have at least a white front bike light and red rear reflector (red light recommended). NCBC will provide front and rear lights for riders who need them.
Additional light-up decor encouraged! In the spirit of lighting up the night, NCBC will distribute new LED spoke lights to one randomly selected participant at the ride!
