May is Bike Month!
Every year, the Napa County Bicycle Coalition celebrates National Bike Month with Napa County residents through events, raffles, and resources that remind folks of the simple joy of riding a bike. While we’re still taking care to follow Covid protocols to keep everyone safe and healthy, we are excited to be celebrating Bike Month 2021 with outdoor, socially-distanced events and online programs and resources!
Check out an overview of our Bike Month programs below, and head over to our Bike Month web page for more details.
Pledge to Ride (4/1-5/31)
- Pledge to ride your bike during the month of May and you’ll be entered into our weekly raffle for awesome bike-related prizes. Raffle opened April 1st and will continue through May 31st – the sooner you pledge, the more chances you have to win a prize!
Bike to Wherever Day (5/21)
- Since many folks are still working or learning from home, we’ve shifted Bike to Work and School Day this year to be Bike to Wherever Day. On May 21st, hop on your bike and ride wherever you want to go – whether it’s work or school, to local businesses, or to your favorite park! A map of bike-in swag bag stations is posted on our Bike to Wherever Day page, so head over and plan your route to swag.
- We are excited to host a handful of modified, free in-person events following County public health guidelines. Events include a St. Helena Family Biking Workshop, Napa community bike ride, and Napa Farmers Market Bike Valet.
- We want to help make your ride as smooth as possible, whether you’ve been biking for years or you’re hopping on a bike for the first time. Check out our Report a Hazard page, new Beginner-/Family-Friendly Bike Route Resource, and more on our Bike Month page.
